Handmade, original designs and upcycled fashion
Betti Baudelaire Boutique was
conceptualised in May 2013 by Betti and her mother, mainly as an
antidote to boredom. Mama B used to design and sell her own tailored
clothes back in the 80's, and passed on her love of sewing to Betti. The
first three dresses were designed as part of a university project, but
the reaction to the pictures online was so positive that we decided to
carry on and set up a workstation in Mama B's back garden. For a solid
week we designed and cut our micro range of 50's and 80's inspired
clothing, which is now on sale at the Cardiff Fashion Quarter and to you
lovely folk online.
We mostly source fabric from charity shops and the majority of our clothes are made from secondhand bedsheets and curtains.
